Fleetwood’s Evans’ Rotherham Hell

Gareth Evans has hit out at Rotherham boss Steve Evans as he aims to dent their promotion bid.

The midfielder, 24, quit the Millers to join Fleetwood in January after Evans made him train on his own.

And he said: “The way I left was demoralising and just came down to a personal matter between me and the manager.

“He’s a marmite personality – you either love him or you hate him.

“For some players, that doesn’t really suit and I’m still upset about how things work out.”

Fleetwood are four points off seventh-placed Bradford, and Evans said: “three wins are our only hope of the play-offs.”
