Mustapha Carayol reckons Middlesbrough are 10-times better under new boss Aitor Karanka, who replaced Tony Mowbray in November.
After a shaky start, the former Real Madrid defender has guided the club to a five game unbeaten league run.
That has helped Boro move just six points off the play-offs, and Carayol said: “Since day one, training has changed. Competitiveness has risen tenfold.
“The gaffer’s added a bit more intensity into our games, and attacking-wise, we’re starting to get some results.
“Everyone’s buzzing in training and everybody knows that when you’re given the shirt, you’ve got to go and do the business on the pitch or you won’t play next game.
“We’re not scared of any team in this league.”
