Brackley’s Mulligan aiming to prove point against Gillingham

Brackley striker Gary Mulligan is out to prove Gillingham were wrong to bin him.

Mulligan had four seasons at Priestfield but was discarded after a falling out with ex-boss Mark Stimson in 2009.

Then, following a brief spell with Northampton, the Irishman, 28, dropped into non league with Gateshead in 2010 before joining Skrill North side Brackley in 2012.

He said: “I still believe I’ve got what it takes to play in the pro game.

“But it’ll be great to go back, although there’ll be no mixed emotions if I score a 90-minute winner! I’d love it!”
