Tranmere boss Ronnie Moore wants referees who make obvious mistakes to be banned.
Rovers played with 10 men for an hour in Saturday’s 1-0 home defeat to Port Vale after defender Liam Ridehalgh was wrongly sent off by Paul Tierney.
The club successfully appealed but Moore insists that is not enough.
He said: “Basically, they should miss a game, shouldn’t they?
“It’s hard because he’s given an honest decion on what he thought at the time.
“But I always feel you should look at the opposition, and nobody appealed for the penalty.”
