Jason Koumas reckons he can be the best midfielder in League One – despite not playing for two years.
Koumas landed a 12-month deal at Tranmere at the age of 33 having been out of the game since being released by Wigan in 2011.
The Welshman started his career at Rovers.
And boss Ronnie Moore, whose side are at Walsall today, said: “Jason’s worked tremendously hard.
“He still believes he can be the best midfield player at this level.
“All he’s got to do is get himself fit and go and prove it.”
